When Someone Told Me About This, I Thought It Was A Lie. But OMG... I Want One Now.

What if I told you there’s a little known invention that might just be the coolest thing ever? Obviously, you wouldn’t believe me… but what you’re about to see could change your mind. A company in the UK has created the must-have gadget of the year. It could change personal transportation in some pretty awesome ways. No more taxi fare, no more expensive gas. And best of all? You look super cool using it.

You don’t even need two feet.

It makes going to work much easier.

The dogs love it.

And so does this guy.

So what is it and how does it work? It’s called the AirWheel, and I’ll let the video speak for itself.

I don’t know about you, but I’m sold. It’s like a Segway but way cooler and more practical. You can buy one here. Share this awesome invention with others.

This Bus Boy Is The Fastest In The History Of Mankind. Unbelievable.

When Josh Jordan spotted this lightening-fast bus boy at a restaurant in Pensacola, FL he was eating at he just had to grab his camera phone and record the craziness that was happening behind him. Bussing a table might not be miraculous in most cases, but this guy can do it in record time. It’s hard to believe, but this is going to impress you.

(Source: Josh Jordan) Working harder but not necessarily smarter, the bus boy moves at the speed of light as he cleans up the table while knocking stuff over left and right. Still, he looks like he’s enjoying it or at least making a game out of it, so that’s something. Share this super fast bus boy with your friends below.

The stricken coach was rushed to a local hospital where he underwent surgery to have the severed portion of his ear reattached.

We’ve seen a lot of politicians get angry on TV, but Rep. Keith Ellison’s “I know you are but what am I?” six-minute hissy fit on tonight’s “Hannity” is one of the worst ever — so much so it got the Democrat’s name trending.

Missing in action: The Federalist tracks down America’s invisible Ebola czar

http://twitter.com/#!/PeteKaliner/status/522107256448749568

The government’s confused response to the Ebola epidemic has had some calling for the appointment of an Ebola czar to head the United States’ response to the crisis. As Mollie Hemingway writes in The Federalist today, however, the country already has an Ebola czar: Dr. Nicole Lurie, HHS Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response. Her job?

…as National Journal rather glowingly puts it, “Lurie’s job is to plan for the unthinkable. A global flu pandemic? She has a plan. A bioterror attack? She’s on it. Massive earthquake? Yep. Her responsibilities as assistant secretary span public health, global health, and homeland security.” A profile of Lurie quoted her as saying, “I have responsibility for getting the nation prepared for public health emergencies—whether naturally occurring disasters or man-made, as well as for helping it respond and recover. It’s a pretty significant undertaking.” Still another refers to her as “the highest-ranking federal official in charge of preparing the nation to face such health crises as earthquakes, hurricanes, terrorist attacks, and pandemic influenza.”

So, hands up: who knew we had an Ebola czar named Dr. Nicole Lurie? And where is she?

Why has Obama"s Ebola Czar (yes, we have an Ebola Czar) been totally MIA during this crisis? http://t.co/UImXxBiwof

— Mollie (@MZHemingway) October 14, 2014

@RBPundit We have an Ebola Czar? I"ve never seen this woman in my life.

— Lem (@Lemang01) October 14, 2014

Have you heard of Dr Lurie? No? That"s weird since she is responsible for handling outbreaks in the US. #Ebola

You want an "Ebola czar?" We already have one ===> @DrLurie_ASPR At least she"s not fighting Ebola via hashtags.

— BorderLine Guy (@SarcasmAndBeer) October 14, 2014

@dcseth What? There"s an actual Ebola czar? What the fuck do they do?

— RB (@RBPundit) October 14, 2014

Am I the only one who didn"t know we already have an "Ebola Czar?" Does anyone know who this person is?

— RB (@RBPundit) October 14, 2014

So there"s already a person who is being paid to plan for Ebola and NO ONE has gotten her ass in front of a camera? http://t.co/rOpeom8Cyn

— Instapundit.com (@instapundit) October 14, 2014

A brief YouTube video posted in 2010 by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services seems to prove that Dr. Lurie is able to appear on camera when it’s handy for her.

I wonder how Dr. Nicole Lurie is involved in the Ebola response. I"ve never heard of her but apparently it"s her job. http://t.co/G4IXBcTAev

— Amber B (@AmberBinGA) October 14, 2014

One accomplishment Dr. Lurie can point to:

Before she went AWOL, Obama"s Ebola czar gave a huge no-bid contract to a company owned by a billionaire Dem donor http://t.co/6fKIg2bCkD

— The Federalist (@FDRLST) October 14, 2014

Furious wrestling fans rally to #CancelNancyGrace after Warrior segment

http://twitter.com/#!/Will_Bunch/status/454374922161487872

What is it today that has people calling for Nancy Grace’s show to be canceled? Ask Diamond Dallas Page, who appeared on her show Wednesday night expecting to talk about the life of the late Ultimate Warrior and instead found himself defending all of professional wrestling against charges of drug use while a list of wrestlers who have died young scrolled by.

http://twitter.com/#!/RealDDP/status/454329254772477952

I went on Nancy Grace last night expecting to discuss Warrior the man. Had I known the only topic discussed would be steroids I would not have participated. At the time I was also unaware of the list that was shown to the viewing audience. To imply that all of the wrestlers on that list died from steroids was wrong and for that they owe the families an apology. Again, my only intention was to discuss Warrior the man and share some stories about how dedicated he was to the wrestling business. I am saddened that was not what happened and my thoughts remain with his family.

http://twitter.com/#!/TheJimCornette/status/454244698253557761

Smith Hart (unverified account) made a similar statement on Facebook.

http://twitter.com/#!/SmithHart1/status/454115950300651520

I think our beloved sister-in-law Martha as well as my entire family should be tremendously offended by the implication of Nancy Grace that my brother Owens demise had anything to do with drugs or steroids. For her to attempt to capitalize on Warrior’s death while his family grieves for personal choices he may have made more than 20 years ago is a sad to day for what passes as journalism today. Breaking news; Many rock stars snorted cocaine in the 80’s. Perhaps we should shut down the entire music industry. We should not buy into any of their such ridiculous libelous statements. We will hear official details from the coroner this weekend and not from some gossip journalist.

The Left loves to screech about how the NRA doesn’t speak for women on the Second Amendment. But NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre did a much better job of it than self-appointed spokespeople Joe Biden, Colorado state Rep. Joe Salazar and Colorado state Sen. Evie Hudak.

During his CPAC speech, LaPierre ripped into the vice president for his suggestion that women should just fire a couple of shotgun blasts into the air to deter an intruder.

— Keith Boykin (@keithboykin) August 11, 2012

As we all know, President Obama never misspeaks.

Crazy that Romney would have a gaffe like that. Obama never had any gaffes like that in any of the 57 states he campaigned in last election.

— jtkola™ (@jtkola) August 11, 2012

By the way, you know who made the same exact mistake in 2008? President Flubby McGaffe.

https://twitter.com/wjharte/status/234285147225223168

We’re sure the lapdog media will cover the similarity posthaste!

Romney, of course, handled the mistake with class and humor.

Romney on Ryan: "Every now and then, I make a mistake. But I did not make a mistake with this guy!"

— WFAA TV (@wfaachannel8) August 11, 2012

But leave it to the lapdog media to see this as a Sign™ of the challenges Romney will face.

That gaffe solidifies what"s already going to be Romney"s challenge: Isn"t this really about Ryan now, not Mitt?

— Ben Smith (@BuzzFeedBen) August 11, 2012

Unfortunate for Romney that his misspeak points to one key pundit point against Ryan pick

‘This is huge!": Kay Hagan’s husband’s company under investigation; Update: New tweets [video]

http://twitter.com/#!/brianjameswalsh/status/529393473384751104

Twitchy reported earlier about North Carolina media pulling a story that could be damaging to Senator Kay Hagan. ‘Recalled for political reasons?’ NC media outlets pulling Kay Hagan story sparks questions.

The story had to do with an investigation into a possible conflict of interest through which Hagan’s husband’s company received grants through the federal stimulus program.

Joe Bruno from Fox 46 in the Carolinas is reporting that the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources is indeed investigating Chip Hagan’s company JDC Manufacturing for conflict of interest.

Did Kay Hagan help funnel stimulus money to her husband’s company?

Update: 6:49 PM November 3

According to Joe Bruno’s report, Senator Hagan has responded with accusations against her opponent Thom Tillis, saying Tillis is illegally using political ties to smear Hagan in an “11th hour act of desperation.”

Video: Police say when it comes to protecting yourself, ‘you’re on your own’

http://twitter.com/#!/Project_Veritas/status/309287534700134403

When seconds count, police nationwide tell Project Veritas, “Sometimes we can’t be anywhere at all because everybody’s tied up.”

In January, James O’Keefe exposed the hypocrisy of media gun-grabbers with undercover footage of his Project Veritas team posing as “Citizens Against Senseless Violence.” In a new investigation, James O’Keefe’s team visited police stations and asked, “What do I do between the time somebody breaks down the door and the time police show up?”

Answer: “You’re on your own.”

Indeed, police can’t teleport to the scene of every home invasion and sexual assault.

“It takes 59 minutes on average to respond to a sexual assault.”-David J. Clark, Milwaukee Sheriff. @jamesokeefeiii#onyourown #waronwomen

— Charles C. Johnson (@ChuckCJohnson) March 6, 2013

So how can citizens protect themselves?

Anti-gun zealots would leave citizens defenseless. Colorado State Rep. Joe Salazar thinks rape whistles and call boxes are just peachy when “you’re on your own.” The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs recommends release of bodily fluids on demand.

Project Veritas caught police on camera recommending everything from strategically trimmed shrubbery to locking your doors and hoping for the best. Our favorite suggestion? “Go get some bleach. Go get ammonia.”

https://twitter.com/redsteeze/status/309291602923380736

But whatever you do, don’t follow Joe Biden’s advice about shotguns unless you’re curious what the inside of a jail cell looks like.

.@vp told us to “get a shotgun” to protect ourselves. But what happens when we take his advice? theprojectveritas.com/civicrm/contri… #OnYourOwn

— Project Veritas (@Project_Veritas) March 6, 2013

And anyway, as one officer said, “A rifle and shotgun is actually for luxury.”

Watch all the way to the end to see Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke respond to the video.

The Zetas sent more than two dozen gunmen to force Alejandro Garza Tamez, 77, to leave his ranch in Padilla, was told Garza, known as “Don Alejo” which may or deliver his ranch to the cartel, or die.

The old employer refused. He took his hunting rifle, and fought with almost 30 members of the cartel Los Zetas, who were armed military style semi-automatic weapons and grenades.

Garza was shot to death, but not before he killed four of Los Zetas and injured two more, while the rest fled, fearing for their lives, officials said. Hours later, members of the Navy arrived and secured the family ranch for Garza.

Garza, who was in the lumber business, became a folk hero after the events of November 2010. It was hailed as national hero for [sic] news commentators and social media. Garza was praised as a role model for standing up to powerful and violent drug traffickers.

The heroism of Don Alejo immortalized on Facebook.

An unfortunate phenomenon associated with the rise of the cartels in Mexico has been the adaptation of the corrido, a folk song celebrating the deeds of a hero, to the anti-heroic behavior of the cartels. These songs are called narcocorridos, and they are extremely popular with Mexican youth and with Latinos in the US Southwest. However, Don Alejo has his own corrido, if you’re interested.

Rep. Thaddeus McCotter resigns

http://twitter.com/#!/AlexPappasDC/status/221351990737911808

After a decades-long political career, the Michigan congressman and brief seeker of the Republican presidential nomination is calling it quits.

McCotter issued an official statement, in his trademark intellectual style:

“Today I have resigned from the office of United States Representative for Michigan’s 11th Congressional District.

After nearly 26 years in elected office, this past nightmarish month and a half have, for the first time, severed the necessary harmony between the needs of my constituency and of my family. As this harmony is required to serve, its absence requires I leave.

The recent event’s totality of calumnies, indignities and deceits have weighed most heavily upon my family. Thus, acutely aware one cannot rebuild their hearth of home amongst the ruins of their U.S. House office, for the sake of my loved ones I must “strike another match, go start anew” by embracing the promotion back from public servant to sovereign citizen.

I do not leave for an existing job and face diminishing prospects (and am both unwilling and ill-suited to lobby), my priorities are twofold: find gainful employment to help provide for my family; and continue to assist, in any way they see fit, the Michigan Attorney General’s earnest and thorough investigation, which I requested, into the 2012 petition filing.

While our family takes this step into the rest of our lives, we do so with the ultimate confidence in our country’s future. True, as at other times in the life of our nation, we live in an Age of Extremes that prizes intensity over sanity; rhetoric over reality; and destruction over creation. But this too shall pass, thanks to the infinite, inspired wisdom of the sovereign people who, with God’s continued blessings, will again affirm for the generations American Exceptionalism.

Truly, it is a challenging and fortunate time to live in our blessed sanctuary of liberty.

In closing, to The People of Michigan’s 11th Congressional District, I can but say this: Thank you for the privilege of having worked for you.”

Reactions to the news were mixed. A few people were shocked or mystified, for various reasons.

Hopefully Thaddeus McCotter will become a permanent #RedEye panelist.

— Zack Pothier (@TheDailyZack) July 6, 2012

While his congressional life may be behind him, we expect he’s got a standing invitation on “Red Eye.”

And, well, if there’s a silver lining in all this, it’s that he’ll have more time to develop his script-writing talent.

“Bumper Sticker: Made On Motown” starred McCotter hosting a crude variety show cast with characters bearing the nicknames of his congressional staffers, his brother and a drunk, perverted “Black Santa.” They take pot shots about McCotter’s ill-fated bid for the White House while spewing banter about drinking, sex, race, flatulence, puking and women’s anatomy. It features a cartoon intro and closing snippet with an Oldsmobile careening through Detroit and knocking over the city’s landmarks. The double-finned car has a Michigan license plate reading: “Made on MoTown.”

McCotter told The News the work was unfinished and was given to a reporter without his permission. He said the show was a “cathartic” creative outlet that helped him through the humiliation of the presidential campaign flop. “Bumper Sticker” brought to life a possibility of something that could be worse than his political failure — being trapped in a bad TV show that takes away “any shard of dignity left,” he told The Detroit News.

Hmmm … maybe not.

Gov. Jay Nixon issues video message, calls for ‘vigorous prosecution’

http://twitter.com/#!/stanzman1/status/501908574826549250

Late Monday night, just minutes before tear gas began to be deployed against protesters in Ferguson, Mo., Democrat Gov. Jay Nixon issued a tweet asking the people of Ferguson to “show the world that we can protest peacefully and passionately.” That certainly didn’t happen, but tonight the governor is trying again, this time with a YouTube video “about the difficult but important test facing us all.” He also called for a “vigorous prosecution” (see video at 3:24). Not investigation, but prosecution.

Unfortunately for the governor, his video went over about as well as his tweet.

Update:

Here is a full transcript of Nixon’s remarks:

Message from Gov. Nixon:

“Ten days ago, a police officer shot and killed Michael Brown, in broad daylight.  Since then, the world has watched a community become engulfed in grief, anger, fear and at times violence.

For a family mourning the loss of a son, it has been a profound personal tragedy. For Ferguson and our entire nation, it has ripped open old wounds that have festered for generations, and exposed difficult issues that communities across our country must still resolve.

But amid all the pain and distrust and anger, we’ve also seen tremendous acts of grace, courage, and kindness as the people of Ferguson try to maintain peace, while they call for justice for the family of Michael Brown.  In Ferguson, people of all races and creeds are joining hands to pray for justice. Teenagers cooking meals for law enforcement officers. Community leaders demonstrating courage and heroism throughout the night in standing against armed and violent instigators. Volunteers coming out to pick up littered neighborhoods.

They are the faces of Ferguson. They are the faces of this region. They are the faces and soul of Missouri.

For them, for the family of Michael Brown, for all the parents who have had their sons taken from them much too soon, and for all the children dreaming of a brighter and better future, we now have a responsibility to come together and do everything we can to achieve justice for this family, peace for this community, and have the courage to address the problems that have divided us for too long. Real problems of poverty, education inequality, and race.

So how do we do that?

First, we must protect the people of Ferguson.

The officers of the Missouri Highway Patrol, St. Louis County, St. Louis City, and other jurisdictions are united in working valiantly to protect the public, while at the same time preserving citizens’ rights to express their anger peacefully.

As we’ve seen over the past week, it is not an easy balance to strike.  And it becomes much more difficult in the dark of night, when organized and increasingly violent instigators take to the streets intent on creating chaos and lawlessness.

But we will not be defeated by bricks and guns and Molotov cocktails. With the help of peaceful demonstrators, pastors and community leaders, Captain Johnson and law enforcement will not give up trying to ensure that those with peace in their hearts are not drowned out by those with senseless violence in their hands.

Second, a vigorous prosecution must now be pursued.

The democratically elected St. Louis County prosecutor and the Attorney General of the United States, each have a job to do. Their obligation to achieve justice in the shooting death of Michael Brown must be carried out thoroughly, promptly, and correctly; and I call upon them to meet those expectations.

Finally, once we have achieved peace in Ferguson and justice for the family of Michael Brown, we must remain committed to rebuilding the trust that has been lost, mending what has been broken, and healing the wounds we have endured.

This is hard. Nothing about this is simple. We won’t always get it right, but we’re going to keep trying.  Because Ferguson is a test, a test not just for the people of this community, but for all Americans.  And it is a test we must not fail.

Last week I met with and prayed with the mother of Michael Brown. She has lost a son who she can never bring back.  But what we can do is work together to ensure that Michael Brown’s death is not remembered as the tragedy that sparked a cycle of violence and distrust, but rather marks the beginning of a process of healing and reconciliation.

So I ask that we continue to stand together as we work to achieve justice for Michael Brown, restore hope and peace to the streets of Ferguson, and march together toward a future of greater opportunity and understanding for all of us.”

[Emphasis added.]

Update:

Even liberal writer Josh Marshall thinks it is nuts for Gov Nixon to be calling for a prosecution.

…this is the Governor of the state, the elected official who has ultimate responsibility for carrying out the laws of the state. It’s simply crazy for him to be saying there has to be a prosecution. It’s so inappropriate that I think it’s highly likely that this is actually an editing error – or someone doing the writing who just didn’t grasp the significance of the word choice.

Unreal: IRS chief whines that ‘targeting’ is a ‘pejorative term’

http://twitter.com/#!/ellencarmichael/status/335390223657734146

Yes, really.

At IRS hearing this morning, crapweasel IRS acting commish Steve Miller snottily says the word “targeting” of conservatives is “pejorative.”

— Michelle Malkin (@michellemalkin) May 17, 2013

Like President Obama and Eric Holder, acting IRS commissioner Steven Miller doesn’t know nuthin’ … except that the word “targeting” is beyond the pale when used to describe the agency’s targeting of conservative groups. In testimony before the House Ways and Means Committee on Friday, he called it a “loaded term” and a “pejorative.”

Miller arguing that “targeting” is a “pejorative term” and disagrees that’s what happened

— Jon Ward (@jonward11) May 17, 2013

“I’m going to take issue with the concept of targeting, because it’s a loaded term.” – Miller

— Kevin W. Glass (@KevinWGlass) May 17, 2013

Steven Miller on the word/IRS “targeting”: “I think it is a term that implies something that didn’t exist here.”

— Adam Henry (@viewofadam) May 17, 2013

Video here:

Miller also claimed the IRS’ only mistake was wanting to be more efficient.

#IRS Head Miller: “I don’t believe partisanship played a role here, foolish mistakes in workload selection.” Efficiency not politics xcuse

— Luke Russert (@LukeRussert) May 17, 2013

Miller says that “foolish mistakes were made by people trying to be more efficient.” Says was a mistake, not act of partisanship. Unreal.

— Jedediah Bila (@JedediahBila) May 17, 2013

Who did the, ahem, targeting? He can’t say, but he knows the term is loaded and that’s what matters.

When asked by Kevin Brady who targeted groups, #IRS‘s Miller can’t answer specifically who did targeting. Describes it as a “loaded term.”

— Chad Pergram (@ChadPergram) May 17, 2013

Who was responsible for targeting these groups? Miller “I take exception 2 targeting because it is a loaded term.” .. I have no names 4 you”

— AprilDRyan (@AprilDRyan) May 17, 2013

The IRS wasn’t targeting conservative groups? Has this guy been taking clown lessons from Jay Carney?

Crapweasel IRS commish Steve Miller defends witch hunt vs #teaparty by whining about “pejoratives.” CRAPWEASEL is pejorative. So’s assclown.

— Michelle Malkin (@michellemalkin) May 17, 2013

If “lookout” list does not equal targeting what does? RT @bccohan: Sometimes, the truth hurts. This was targeting. #IRShearing

— Marc T Grove (@mtgrove) May 17, 2013

If IRS picked on groups w/”gay,” “women,” or “civil rights” in their names, no one could get away with saying “targeting is a loaded term.”

— Jonah Goldberg (@JonahNRO) May 17, 2013

Rep Kevin Brady: “Targeting is a loaded word” Child, please

— Eliana Johnson (@elianayjohnson) May 17, 2013

The revenge of PC, right there: “Sure, I murdered and cannibalisedhim, but, please, ‘murder’ and ‘cannibalised’ are pejorative terms.”

— Charles C. W. Cooke (@charlescwcooke) May 17, 2013

Targeting is not a pejorative term. It’s a pejorative action.

— Ari Fleischer (@AriFleischer) May 17, 2013

OK, so if Miller objects to “targeting,” what’s the acceptable term?

Regulatory hugs RT @brianfaughnan: ‘Targeting is a pejorative term.’ OK, what’s a better term for this?
