The Swedish-based “Ocean X Team” was looking for a shipwreck somewhere between Sweden and Finland when they found the anomaly.

Since its discovery, theories about exactly what it is and where it came from have run the gamut. Most of the extreme opinions are based around the idea that what we’re seeing is actually an ancient crashed UFO.

Conspiracy theorists postulate that the UFO must have crashed sometime during the Ice Age, though they aren’t certain why it’s there.

Sadly there is an extreme lack of evidence to support these claims. Rock samples of the structure collected by the Swedish diving team found nothing anomalous about the structure.

This has led many reputable authorities to brand the Baltic Anomaly a hoax. But that still hasn’t stopped the conspiracy theory community from making videos like this about the anomaly.

Everyone"s Saying These Look Like Adidas Shoes, But They"re From Another Millenium

In April 2016, the mummified body of a woman was found in Mongolia’s Altai mountains.

Experts from the Center of Cultural Heritage in Mongolia believe that she died up to 1,100 years ago between the ages of 30 and 40, which is why the current condition of her body and possessions is so amazing. Buried with her were a number of items, including a handbag, changes of clothes, a comb, a mirror, vases, a sewing kit, a knife, a ram’s skull, and even the remains of a horse and its saddle.

What really caused a stir, however, were the red striped boots found with her. People likened them to Adidas brand shoes and were amazed that they looked so modern despite likely being made in the tenth century.

Because of her sewing kit and the embroidery found on her clothing and belongings, she was believed to have been a seamstress.

Experts also believe that she suffered a significant blow to the head before she died and credit the high altitude and cold climate where she was buried for preserving her body so well. The mummy had also been covered in a coating of Shilajit, a tar-like substance.

Now a year after being uncovered, the boots, along with her other possessions, have been restored to an even more incredible state.

It’s not often you hear a mashup combining a classical symphony composition with a rock song, but in this case, the talented duo known as 2CELLOS prove that music is timeless.

The video features the two cellists, dressed in traditional clothes from the Classical period, performing a concert for well-to-do members of society. The music quickly shifts from the sounds of Beethoven to a full-blown rock cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love,” complete with bow hair breakages and cello percussion.

It’s a mashup that will have you ascending the stairways to musical heaven.

This Beautiful Artwork Only Takes Minutes Because Of An Awesome Japanese Technique

We tend to assume that beautiful paintings take hours upon hours and countless strokes to get them just right.

The work created at the Kousyuuya studio in Nikkô, Japan, defies that idea. But even though their artwork gets done at an incredibly quick pace, that doesn’t mean that it’s any less stunning.

The artists there only spend about 15 minutes painting each beautifully detailed piece while their customers watch. How do they pull it off? Four generations of artists have mastered an amazing technique called “hitofude ryuu,” which literally means “dragon with one stroke.” The process is just as cool as the finished products.

After painting the dragon’s head, they dip a larger brush into the desired colors and use one continuous, calligraphy-like stroke for the body.

It seems effortless, but it takes a lot of practice to master the technique.

The studio creates only dragon art. In Japanese culture, dragons are regarded as guardian angels that ward off evil and bring good luck.

He Was Doing Work In A Residence Hall When He Found Something That Broke His Heart

In early 2016, a maintenance worker was walking through a student dorm at Sheffield University in South Yorkshire, England, when he noticed a heartbreaking sight.

As the man entered the residence’s kitchen, a small creature ran up to him. It turned out to be a little hedgehog who was in really bad shape — so much so that it was shocking. The poor thing had endured unimaginable cruelty at the hands of absolute monsters who disfigured him.

Whoever was responsible for the abuse had intentionally cut off his spines, which play a crucial role in protecting these animals against predators.

Hedgehogs can have as many as 8,000 spines, and as shown below, most of his had been cut.

The animal was taken to Allan Broadhead and his wife Anita, who run Cawthorne Hedgehog Rescue and Care Centre in Barnsley. They said they’ve “never seen a hog in such a state of neglect and deliberate harm.” Unfortunately, the hedgehog they named Frankie also had a bad case of ringworm.

According to the Broadheads, Frankie would need close to eight months to grow new spines to replace the one that’d been cut. “If his spines grow back we’ll be able to release him back into the wild,” Allan said. “if not we’ll keep him at the sanctuary and create a little safe area for him.”

Growing up, I was always told that “The Exorcist” was one of the scariest films ever made.

I still haven’t seen the classic, so for now, I’ll have to rely on this home video of a demonic possession to fill the void.

While on the phone with her boyfriend, a woman in Mexico begins seizing up and enters a state of paralysis, with her fingers becoming claw-like. Her bizarre behavior could be brushed off as an actual seizure or as a means to gain internet stardom, but it’s not as easy to explain what happens next.

This Is Definitely Not What You Want To Happen When You"re Inspecting A Boat

Here’s how I feel about large bodies of water:

So you can imagine my concern when I came across this video that was shot back in 1991 by a few divers inspecting a damaged boat.

Of course, the boat went ahead and sustained damage on the hull instead of literally any other part, which meant that it had to be inspected from the water. “We made the assumption that if the ship was tied up, the bridge wouldn’t turn on the [propellers],” one of the divers explained. “We were wrong.”

Oh, honey bunches of NO.

I was about 80 percent over the ocean before I watched this video, and I’ve officially reached 100.

I’ll stick to dry land. Thanks.

I Never Thought To Do This With Frames -- So Beautifully Genius

I’ve always wanted to create a gallery wall…they’re a fun, simple way to make a space look polished and personalized.

But inevitably, when I start to attack the project, I stop and realize…I am way too clumsy to make this look as good as the Pinterest photo I saw. So my white walls live another boring day.

But it doesn’t have to be so hard! With some butcher paper, a marker, and some paint, we can all make beautiful gallery walls in no time!

Here’s what you need:

5-7 images

5-7 frames

Butcher paper

Sandpaper

Paint, brush, painter’s tape

Marker

Hammer

Nails

Trace and cut out the frames on some butcher paper. Mark on the page where the screw should go.

Layout the wall by taping the papers up.

After lightly sanding the frames, paint them with your desired color.

Let them thoroughly dry.

When you hammer in the nail, you can just tear off the paper — so simple!
