He Was Taking A Ride In The Countryside When Something Made Him Spring Into Action

Driving around on a solo trip though the hills, one man came across something scary. At first, he just saw a discarded helmet, but when he took a closer look, he found a fellow rider in dire straits.

Without wasting any time, he hopped off of his bike and ran over to a man who had been pinned under his quad. He didn’t film it for attention, but the GoPro camera that was strapped to his helmet happened to capture footage of the entire rescue mission. Check it out!

The man had only been pinned for a short time by the time our hero got to him, but in situations like this, every second counts. We’re just thrilled that the biker found him in time!

A Man"s Love For His Brother With Autism Is So Inspiring

Living with a person who has autism can be very difficult. It comes with a unique set of issues, and it takes uniquely skilled and dedicated people to help these individuals reach their full potential.

That’s where Spencer Timme comes in. His brother has autism, but what most people would view as a setback has actually brought Spencer and his big brother, Mitchel, closer together. What he has to say about having a brother with autism is something that we all need to hear.

Unless you live with a person who has autism, you’ll never understand what these people go through, and we should all be inspired by Spencer’s love and compassion. Mitchel seems like a great guy, and it’s clear that he’ll always have a friend by his side.

It’s no secret that teenagers can be an odd bunch.

And I’m not one to talk, since I had some questionable hobbies as a teen (I was a sucker for “Magic: The Gathering,” so there’s that). But some adolescents, and we’re really only talking about a handful here, do some disturbing things in their spare time.

In the video below, which was made sometime in the early ’90s, one teen talks about the ins and outs of his foray into grave robbing. He even shows a few trophies that he gathered in the process. It’s a little on the long side, but even watching the first 60 seconds will give you chills (and not the good kind).

I’ve debated whether or not this video is a fake, and honestly, I haven’t come to a solid conclusion. Everything about it seems authentic, all the way down to the kid’s stutter. I just hope it’s fake. I don’t like the idea of someone like this walking around out there.

What The Mars Rover Just Discovered Looks A Heck Of A Lot Like An Alien Skull

Mars is an amazing planet that I one day hope to visit. When I get there, I only imagine I’ll be greeted by a plethora of alien lifeforms and artifacts hidden among the planet’s sands. Or, at least, that’s according to eagle-eyed paranormal enthusiasts who comb through pictures of the red planet’s surface looking for clues…

Their latest find was spotted in a recent photo beamed back to Earth by NASA. Do you see it?

The Adorably Hilarious Children"s Guide To Cooking Thanksgiving Dinner

Remember when you’d try to help your parents in the kitchen when the holidays rolled around? Cooking looked like even more fun when we were little! We just wanted in on it! Also, we could score sneaky bites of the food while our parents were working, which was a plus. Thanksgiving was always the best.

These kids, however, should probably stick to playing outside or watching TV. Their cooking skills aren’t really there yet.

How often do you make eye contact with complete strangers…or even your good friends?

If you’re like me, the answer is surprisingly not too frequently. For some, looking into a person’s eyes feels uncomfortable, awkward even. But Arthur Aron, a well-know social psychologist, claims that just four minutes of sustained eye contact brings people together more than any other type of interaction.

In an effort to test this theory out, Amnesty Poland brought a bunch of complete strangers together.

It wasn’t until the end that they found out just who the other person was.

According to Eurostat, more than 1.3 million refugees entered Europe last year. More flow across the borders today. No matter what you think the U.S. or Europe should be doing about the influx of people in need of help and asylum, it’s important to remember one thing…

When Cincinnati police Sgt. James Givens was “called” to the scene by a mother goose, he couldn’t have known what it was for.

She kept “pecking [at my cruiser’s door] and normally they don’t come near us. Then it walked away and […] stopped and looked back so I followed it and it led me right over to the baby that was tangled up in all that string,” Givens said. The police officer and his partner quickly got to work freeing the poor baby — are you ready to smile?

This could have ended so terribly if these officers weren’t at the scene. Thank goodness we can all enjoy this happy ending instead!

Incredible Wind Tunnel Dancer Gracefully Defies Gravity With Some Pretty Fly Moves

Dancing on solid ground is already hard enough for those of us with two left feet, but these competitors in the annual Wind Games held in Spain earlier this month put even the most experienced dancers to shame.

In this video, wind tunnel dancer Leonin Volkov shows off his gravity-defying moves and completely wows the crowd with his graceful dance.

Talk about laughing in the face of gravity. Here’s hoping this will become a 2032 Olympic sport.

Instead Of Making Disney Heroes And Villains Fight, This Artist Brings Them Together

We all felt the tension when Simba finally went home and confronted Scar. We watched as an awful queen with a mirror fixation sent her hunters after Snow White, and we cheered as Mulan triumphed over Shan-Yu.

But we’ve never really seen Disney heroes and villains come together. Foils for good and evil, these animated antitheses remain worlds apart in the movies we all know and love, but what would happen if they were forced to get along?

Judging by this artist’s work, something beautiful comes to pass when they’re drawn into one image. Oh My Disney contacted Dada and commissioned a mashup series in which each character is depicted as the yin to their counterpart’s yang.

Using nothing but colored pencils and a whole lot of imagination, Dada brings reconciliation to characters that usually hang out at opposite ends of the spectrum.

Since the endeavor relies on heavy layering in every sense — of colors, textures, and overlapping faces — these pieces take hours to create.

If you look closely at the images, you’ll see that she doesn’t just copy what’s on the screen.

Because the process of blending two faces is a complicated one, Dada experiments with color to bring the characters together as gracefully as possible, which wouldn’t be possible if she took a more literal approach.

He Filmed A Tornado And Inadvertently Captured The Moment That Tore His Life Apart

After finding himself buried under what was once his home, Clem Schultz grabbed his neighbor’s hand and escaped the wreckage. His house had just been decimated by a tornado.

The neighbor sat Schultz down on a fallen beam and said, “Don’t look down.” The 85-year-old looked at him, clearly puzzled, and asked why. “Because your wife’s right underneath you. She’s dead.”

The revelation sent him reeling as he thought about the four-minute span that just flattened his entire life. Meteorologists on that fateful day back in 2015 warned residents of Fairdale, Illinois, that a tornado was heading right for their town, but Schultz and his wife, Geri, felt confident that it’d miss their home. While Schultz was upstairs grabbing some lanterns, he looked out the window and froze. That’s when he saw it.

He didn’t have time to go back downstairs, so he pulled out his phone and recorded the chilling ordeal.

And that was the day he lost everything. Schultz sustained serious back injuries, there was nothing left of his home, and the love of his life didn’t survive. As for the video, he’s glad he recorded it. “I’m proud of it,” he explained to The Daily Herald. “My video is saving lives.”

An NYU Student Shot This Terrifying Video Of The 9/11 Attacks From Their Dorm

It’s been nearly 15 years since the World Trade Center towers were attacked by terrorists.

The events of September 11, 2001, were horrifyingly tragic. When the towers fell and innocent people were killed, it changed the lives of countless people both in the United States and abroad. The attacks created a moment in time that can never be forgotten.

Most U.S. citizens, no matter their age, can distinctly remember what they were doing when the planes hit the towers. Many people were at work, school, or just getting ready to leave for the day.

The NYU student that filmed this video will certainly never forget exactly what happened.

Watching the violence and chaos on television was traumatizing enough, but imagine being a young student in the city, close enough to clearly see the towers. In the video, you can hear their frightened reactions and panicked calls home. This is a perspective that not many people have seen of the 9/11 attacks.

The video that Caroline filmed may be hard to watch.

Many remember only the news reports, but this video gives more weight to the terrible tragedy.

The people that lost their lives that day will never be forgotten, and this rare perspective of the terrorist attacks reminds us to more fiercely honor their memories. Years may desensitize people to what really happened, but this video shows us the horror and truth of that fateful day.

From then on, the people who win the lottery watch in horror as their lives come crashing down in smoldering heaps of gluttony, greed, and betrayal. YouTuber InterestingTop7s compiled a list of some of the unluckiest lottery winners in history. They quickly came to regret what they thought were the luckiest days of their lives.

Even though they’re technically parts of our planet, certain regions of the ocean look like they’re from another world entirely. Based on all of the creepy videos floating around out there, our oceans are filled with aliens.

Don’t believe me? Then check out this eerie footage of a monkfish that was captured 80 miles off the coast of Gibraltar. Covered in a dusting of sediment from the ocean floor, this monster looks less like something earthly and more like something you’d see on Naboo.

The creature is somehow even more terrifying when it’s not covered in sand.

This Simple Book Is So Much More Than It Appears To Be At First

Artist Kelli Anderson created something amazing when she designed This Book Is a Camera. Yes, it is a pop-up book…but the title isn’t lying. It’s a camera, too. The book folds up into a simple pinhole camera and it can really take a picture. (After all, cameras aren’t that complicated when you get down to it.)

A pinhole camera is also known as a cameraobscura. According to Wikipedia, it is a “simple optical imaging device in the shape of a closed box or chamber. In one of its sides is a small hole which, via the rectilinear propagation of light, creates an image of the outside space on the opposite side of the box.“

Basically, the light comes in and creates an image on the film…

Just open it up…

And put in the film!

All little kids throw temper tantrums sometimes. It could be about anything, too — not getting a toy they wanted, not wearing the clothes they wanted, or they could just be tired of standing. They’re at an age where they think magically, not logically. Plus, their little brains just haven’t fully developed yet.

He Had A Seizure In The Middle Of His First Solo Skydive...And He Barely Survived

When people think of trying skydiving, not many folks go and seek approval from their doctors before signing up. Still, even if you do get approval from a medical professional, that’s no guarantee of safety, as 22-year-old Australian Christopher Jones learned the hard way.

Jones was participating in an accelerated free fall program and had been cleared by his doctor to do so. However, around 9,000 feet, he had a seizure and lost consciousness. Luckily, his jump instructor (who was also wearing a helmet camera) managed to get to Jones in time to pull his parachute around 4,000 feet. He regained consciousness near 3,000 feet and was able to land safely.

Still, that doesn’t make the ordeal any less harrowing. You can check out the footage from his near-death experience below…

Jones was also wearing two automatic activation devices (AADs) that would have released his parachute if the instructor had failed to reach him. Still though, talk about a terrifying experience.

This Guy Explains The Morbid Reason Behind Why We Bury People Six Feet Underground

Mobsters love to say that they’re going to put people “six feet under” to imply that their associates are about to be nice and dead, but is there a reason why we stick dead bodies exactly six feet below the surface?

The people at Today I Found Out now have an answer to this morbid question. In the process of figuring it out, they discovered that these regulations aren’t as standard as we tend to think.

Although the phrase “six feet under” is thrown around a lot, the truth about burial restrictions is that they vary by region.

The folks at Today I Found Out discovered that the phrase may have originated during the Great Plague of 1665 in London, when it was ordered that bodies be buried at least six feet underground to prevent the spread of the disease.

It might be an arbitrary phrase, but I’m glad we have it, since it’s a pretty good rule of thumb when it comes to burying people as safely as possible. It also helps prevent zombies from getting to us, so that’s a plus.

What These Commuters Saw On The Subway Is Bizarre But You"ll Love It

Living in New York City, I’ve seen my fair share of subway performers. They range anywhere from buskers playing acoustic guitars at the station, to children swinging around subway poles during their “showtime” performances. I’m usually not too impressed with the acts I see every day, if I’m being perfectly honest.

But this subway performance is awesome. This guy and his skeleton puppet blew commuters away when they put on an epic rock performance.

I’ve never given money to a subway performer, but I would have handed over some cash to this guy. How cool was that performance?

Since the ancient days of Thor and the invention of Swedish meatballs, kulning — a traditional Swedish herding call — has been a staple of the country’s culture. Used to call livestock down from the mountains, it is usually performed by women, since they traditionally tend to these animals.

With her unique voice and her beautiful blonde hair, this woman looks like an angel singing in the snow.

According to Jonna Jinton, the woman in the video, the kulning took months of practice to master. Her voice needed time to develop. After seeing this footage, it’s clear that all of her efforts paid off.

Looking like something Ursula would use to spy on her victims, the strawberry squid’s giant eye is so big that it can probably see into the future.

The creature’s small eye is meant to scan for prey swimming above, while the bigger eye looks for food down below. As if that weren’t cool enough, however, the strawberry squid also emits light. Learn all about it in the video below!

That eye seriously looks like if you peered into it for long enough, it would show you how your life is going to unfold. I don’t think I like the sound of that.

They Were Doing Underwater Research When -- Suddenly -- Something Massive Came To Say Hello

On April 15, 2015, researchers from E/V Nautilus sent a robot named Hercules down into the depths of the Gulf of Mexico, off the coast of Louisiana. They were exploring the biology, geology, and archeology of the ocean, and when they reached a depth of 1,962 feet, they suddenly encountered something magnificent — a sperm whale.

It is incredibly rare to have a robot meet a sperm whale at these depths, but what they captured on film for a live audience is amazing.

The population of sperm whales on Earth used to be in the millions.

Today, perhaps less than a few thousand remain due to hunting in the 19th century. For those that are still with us, however, let’s hope more footage like this gets captured. Because after seeing it, how can you not want to do everything you can to help?

A Deer Stuck In A Fence Was Less Than Happy When A Kind Man Tried To Help It

Our friend Simon from the Wildlife Aid Foundation is back with yet another daring animal rescue. This time it was a feisty deer that was giving him a hard time.

The doe had got herself completely stuck between the bars of a metal fence. It’s a situation that Simon sees all too often, because when deer are able to fit their shoulders through a space, they think they’ll be able to get the rest through as well. As you can see here, that’s not always the case…

Luckily the deer didn’t have any injuries, so there was no need to take it back to the rescue center. She had already faced enough drama for the day and was probably very happy to run back home.

This Guy Doesn"t Know How To Wash His Car...Or Use The Brakes, For That Matter

Everyone seems to be in a hurry nowadays. Whether you’re rushing to work, racing to your next appointment, or picking up your kids from their Kundalini yoga class, life never slows down. While the hustle is appreciated in our culture, it sometimes gets way out of hand.

Take this guy, for example. He took the “quick” in “Quick Quack Car Wash” as a challenge, jetting through the entire process without any regard for anyone else’s safety.

On their YouTube page, Quick Quack Car Wash assures us that no one was hurt. They commend their employees for keeping it cool in the face of idiocy. All things considered, this worked out for the company, since this video allowed them to debut their stupid theme song to over two million unfortunate people who now wish that they were deaf.
