When The Rivers In Your City Start Catching On Fire, It"s Time To Move


The city of Moscow was established more than 800 years ago.


Because of its vast and rich history, some look at the city as a place of infinite possibilities. At times, though, it can also seem like a dystopian wasteland rife with corruption and environmental disasters.


Last year, you would have been right to put the city into that latter category thanks to a leak at an oil refinery in the city’s southeastern district. It caused the Moscow River to burst into flames…


This seems like something right out of a disaster movie.



Luckily, firefighters were able to get the blaze under control within an hour and there were no fatalities. I think it would be a good city planning idea to move those sorts of facilities away from populated areas…
